Wooden Reindeer DIY

 

Just cut out two wooden Squares one larger than the other ..Painted main one brown smaller one red for the nose

cut out tan and pink felt for ears 

cut two twigs for antlers ..drilled small holes then hot clued them in holes for the antlers 

Wooden Gnomes

 

Hubby cut out Gnomes for me  I painted added wooden noses and pom poms...I love 3 of them, one I am not so fond of.. I am not a great painter and it was hard to do the lines  

Wooden Door Tag Let It Snow DIY

 Hubby first cut tags for me 

A friend cut out  Let It Snow on her cricut 

Hubby stained the wood for me combining multiple colors to get a teal for me 

Then I added the Vinyl Let it Snow and snowflakes. It was the first time I had worked with Vinyl 

I added Sisal Robe and a Bow . Hubby also added a screw to the back to hold them together 

Grapevine wreath snowman Teal

I painted two grapevine wreaths white.  I then wired them together. I made a large bow.

Then I cut two pieces of felt and hot glued them together stuffing it with plastic bags. I added a white trim border to give the hat a little dimension along with a teal band.

Cut out a carrot nose

Got beads from Michaels for mouth 

Ribbon is from Sam's. I had to put two ribbons together for a scarf.  I tried to make a few scarfs from yarn but could not find the right color ..everything on my fence has a teal theme

Painted Shutter Moonlight Surf 5004-6B  had color made at Lowes

Cut circle for Head ,Cut star , Wings are molding, Arms were also cut from wood 

Stained wood walnut then clear coated 

Made bow and bouquet

Cut Snowman out of wood from Lowe's that was Stain Grade Solid Wood Panel   

                              3/4 x 20" x 72 "

Painted white with exterior white paint from Lowe's

Added extra piece to back so there will be a place to add Bolts later to connect to base 

Painted hat black.  The Brim is a separate piece

Took Rails off to stain rails Dark Walnut

Painted Twilight meadow ..got paint from lowes

Also clear coated all

Then time to decorate

Added a wreath and bow and a little something something

CO 6 plus 1 to join in the round 

K1fb around 
K1fb, K1 across
K1fb, K2 across
K1fb, K3 across until you have 30 stitches 

Knit around until you ahve desired height 
If you need to know about how many row for a short snowman , I knit about 33 rounds (this will make snowman measure about 5 inches high.

I now stuff the bottom . I put stuffing and now am adding some glass gems from the dollar tree to give it weight in the bottom to help it stand , Then add more stuffing .  

K2tog, K2 across
I did this until I have 6 or 9 stitches 
At this point add and more stuffing that is desired 
I cut yarn and pull through remain stitches 
Weave in end 

Then I make hat and scarf 

For hat I have been casting on 30 plus 1 to join in the round 
K2,P2 around ...I do this for about 3 or 4 rounds
Then Knit to desired height 
I then do a 3 needle bind off with two knitting needles and a crochet hook 

I use pink pom pom maker from clover 

the scarf I crochet 
Chain 40 
single crochet 2 rows
