Sock Snowmen

Christmas Sock Snowmen --so very Easy

Buy White Socks

Cut White Sock  ..right now i am just using the top of the sock ...not the toe part

After I cut it i turn inside out and rubber band as below then turn right side

Then Fill with Rice   and Rubber band again at the top

Then i Cut the Sock ...Usually i Just Cut At The Heel  --The foot part i use as the Hat --The other part i am using as the Sweater

i have been using the Band part of the sock at the Neck of the Snowman   and i will usually Tie a piece of Cotton Yarn at the neck of the snowman to define the neck ..and then just cover it up with the sweater

I found these Beads at michaels for the Eyes   this is what the package looked like after i took out the beads..I am hot gluing my Eyes on

For Eyes you can use Beads or Buttons...people have also used marker...

I also Found These Beads below At michaels which i use for the noise ...you could also use Tooth picks cut in two and painted orange  or a pipe cleaner   or felt ...just use whatever works for you ..i am hot gluing them

For the Cheeks i have just put a little blush on my finger and put it on the sock !!

i have done many things for the snowmen them self    i have Crocheted a Brim and glued to the sock ...i have used the toe part of the white sock and put the pattern sock over it and glued them together for the hat .

Here are a few examples of what i have made !!  So Far I have been limited to what kind of socks. It was to early in the season for christmas socks

Good luck !!!

Ballband Hanging Dishtowel

BALLBAND HANGING TOWEL

This pattern is multiples of 6 + 3

I cast on 75

until i had the towel about 13 inches long
decrease row on a knit row… Or Rights side Row
also during this process the row does not come out evenly..but I just really wing it..I think that I probably would have added a couple more rows so the top was bigger by adding in a all knit row a couple of times in between the purl rows

Row 1:* K2 ,k2tog* across
Row 2: K2, P across, K2
Row 3:*K2, K2tog ,K2* across
Row 4: K2 ,P across,K2
Row 5: *K2,K2tog* across
Row 6: K2, P across,K2
Row 7: *K2,K2tog* across
til there are 10 stitches left

this is where u need to decide if you want knit row when flap is folded over.
If so reverse what u were doing..knit side on wrong side then pearl rows on
right side ..on the below directions

Row 1:k2 ,p across ,k2
Row 2: knit…
did these 2 rows till lenght i wanted tab

TAB :
Row 1 (RS) k4, bind off 3, k3.
Row 2 k4 cast on 3 , k3.
Rows 3 knit
Row 4 K2 p across k2.
Row 5 ssk, k6, k2tog—8 sts.

Row 7 ssk, k4 k2tog—6 sts.

This pattern is multiples of 18 + 6

I just follow the Modified Feather & Fan pattern above until i had the towel about 13 inches long

Row 4: K3, P across,K3
Row 5: K2,K2tog across
Row 6: K3, P across,K3
Row 7: K2,K2tog, across
til there are 10 stitches left

This is where you need to decide if you want the knit side to show when you fold over the flap..if so reverse what u are doing now…the Right side now becomes the pearl side ..and the wrong side becomes the knit row when you do the below rows

Row 1:k2 ,p across ,k2
Row 2: knit…
